Hello all! My name is Gina Stukenholtz and I am thrilled to be a part of the Bellevue Public Schools HAL team. Being a teacher was always a piece of what I dreamed for my life plans as I was growing up. I loved school as a student, and had some of the most amazing teachers who inspired me on my life journey.
I began my teaching career at Holy Cross Catholic School in Omaha - teaching math and history. Then I completed a four-year stint teaching math at Mission Middle School in Bellevue and then relocated to Sioux City, Iowa with my family. I spent two years teaching history at Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools and was lucky enough to move back to Bellevue in 2012. I spent the next eight years at Lewis & Clark teaching math and history. I moved into the middle school HAL position in 2019. Joining the HAL team has been a very rewarding move in my professional journey. I am absolutely loving the opportunity to learn and grow through working with our high ability learners.
I graduated from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and completed my masters at Doane College. My husband Jeremy and I feel extremely blessed with our four children: Madelyn (13), Isaac (11), Noah (8) and Quentin (6). My passions outside of the classroom include watching my children play sports, running long distance races, coaching volleyball, track and softball, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, spending time outdoors and watching sporting events. When it comes to sports, you can find me cheering for the Jays, Huskers and Hawkeyes.
